Fragile World is real. The masters are done, approved and they sound extraordinary. The artwork is finished and signed off. We are in August and this album is coming very soon.
Dan Schoco did the mastering and he has done something genuinely special with these tracks. Hearing the masters back for the first time is one of those moments in the production process that reminds you why all the work was worth it. Everything opened up. The low end, the space, the detail in the textures. The album sounds exactly like itself, only more so.
The cover imagery was supplied by my brother Charles Thorne, which makes this release feel even more personal than it already was. Having family involved in something this significant feels exactly right.

Twelve tracks. Detroit techno, deep techno, ambient electronica. An album that starts with light faltering and ends with something fragile but still standing. The sequence holds together from beginning to end beautifully, as Mark Darby said when he first heard it, and the mastering has only deepened that.
